Chrome is 1 of 3 magazine projects done in class. The project’s objective was to design 3 magazines that targeted 3 completely demographics using typography, photography, and layout. Chrome challenged me to create the luxury within the design, going with the ‘less is more’ mentality, to reach the elite among society.
The magazine utilizes several different fonts to convey quality. The cover uses Proxima Nova (a charismatic sans-serif with unique terminals), Agency FB, and Bell MT for gravitas. Eurostile is used for headers to convey futuristic engineering by its boxy appearance. Baskerville Old Face provides the readers a rich body text that speaks to both masculinity and time. The layout is aimed to be different and off-the -wall with the use of a curved clipping mask and white space.

Front Cover
The layout, white space and typography speak to more sophistication and masculinity, by using transitional serif fonts with distinguished ascenders and descenders. The San-serif fonts also provide that masculine gravitas with the tall x-heights and no contrast.
