Among the first iterations of the brand. I was trying to get a feel of how to differentiate the brand and help it find its voice.

Taking the winning design into the digital stage, working out space, balance, and overall final composition.

Final design that represents a professional gravitas while still being personable with the green subtle text.

Mid-Willamette Handyman Specialties, LLC

This project was my very first freelance and it came to me from a pastor I have known for many years. I was still attending Lane Community College, working towards my Graphic Design degree when I was approached. The trade-off was that I would get advice on conducting myself as a business professional and use the work in my portfolio, while he would get a brand and a business card.

My client had just been certified as a handyman and wanted to start a business for the Mid-Willamette Valley area. With the client-intake survey, I sought to create a design that was its own, resonated with who my client is as both a person and a businessman, and represented his business.

The logo itself speaks both professional but local and carries the gravitas that builds trust with customers. Lato Semibold provides personability, while Open Sans provides that “handshake.”
