Out on the run

iPhone X dual 12mp camera: wide angle lens at f/1.8 & telephoto lens at f/2.8 & f.2.4

I was excited to try out my new dual 12-megapixel camera shortly after getting my phone. Being one who enjoys experimenting with technology, I have heard that this camera performs a lot better, especially in low-light environments. What I did not know was it’s ability to capture shallow FOD.

Having established my equipment, this series of photos was taken while I was out running. I began running at the end of June with the goal of running in a 5k. I wanted to set a good goal for myself that I knew I could achieve if I worked at it. I should also mention that I love adventures and have a knack for exploring places around me. Running provided a perfect means for letting my exploratory side take over and have fun.

I enhanced these images in Photoshop to bring out more color saturation to reflect what was happening at that time. I also made the images smaller by changing the ppi to better suit print. I played with panorama view to provide more beautiful context to the scene. I did not use any image filters on my camera. I applied the 3 x 3 grid to provide better compositions and points of interest.

Stopping to take photos while out running does slow me down sometimes, but these images encourage me and stand as a reminder that I ran by those places or that I made it to goal destinations. When I share these reminders with others, it encourages them too. Win-win!
